"Discover the World of Specialty Roasted Coffee with a Social Purpose Our Story At Cofitería, we believe in more than just delivering exceptional Colombian coffee—we believe in creating meaningful impact. Our journey began in 2017 in Colombia, where dedicated coffee growers from Santander cultivated the land with patience, care, and hard work to produce some of the smoothest coffee in the country. In 2021, we launched Cofitería Coffee Shop, uniting over 22 coffee-growing families from various departments across Colombia. Our mission was born from this collaboration: to promote sustainable coffee-growing practices, provide training, and help growers improve both their processes and the quality of their coffee. We proudly work in regions such as Perijá, Catatumbo, Meta, Huila, Caquetá, Cauca, Valle del Cauca, Nariño, and Antioquia—areas that have long endured violence and armed conflict. Many of these communities are home to women, youth, and Indigenous peoples who are actively engaged in rebuilding and healing their territories. Through mentorship, training, and support, we aim to be part of that transformation. Today, we are more than just coffee producers—we are agents of social and environmental impact. Our approach is rooted in shared value, circular economy principles, and innovation. We work hand in hand with local communities, not only producing high-quality coffee but also supporting other regional products and initiatives.

We are proud to hold certifications that reflect our commitment to both quality and social responsibility, including:

• Federación Nacional de Cafeteros

• INVIMA

• FDA

• SCA

• PaisSana (Peacebuilding Territories)

Expanding Our Impact: Amazonic Forest Origin Currently, we are developing a new protected origin in the Amazon Rainforest, where we support coffee associations with quality certifications and distinctive cup profiles. By promoting Amazonian coffee, we help create direct market access, driving positive social change and improving the lives of local producers. Our Mission To produce exceptional specialty Colombian coffee while improving the quality of life for those who cultivate it. We are committed to building a sustainable future for farming communities through education, empowerment, and ethical trade.

Our Added Value

• 100% Arabica specialty Colombian coffee

• Direct collaboration with grower"

Description

  • "Our Coffee Made with 100% Colombian Arabica beans, our coffee is naturally free from gluten and dairy ensuring a clean, wholesome product for our customers. Our carefully designed process begins with selecting only fully ripe red cherries that meet our strict quality and cup profile standards. After pre-cleaning to remove impurities, the beans undergo gentle pulping and washing. At the same time, a natural fermentation process develops, enhancing the flavor complexity. Once fermentation reaches the optimal level, we begin drying, reducing moisture content, intensifying unique flavor notes, and preparing the beans for hulling, where the parchment and silver skin are removed. Next comes sorting, which ensures only the finest beans move forward. Roasting is the second most critical stage in the value chain. It is here that the beans develop and enhance their full range of performance attributes, achieving the ideal cup profile. Thanks to this meticulous process, Colombia produces some of the smoothest coffee in the world. Our Packaging We use materials and technology specifically designed for roasted coffee. Our packaging includes a freshness valve that allows for degassing while preserving flavor, aroma, and texture. We take pride in offering high-quality products, crafted through a unique formula that guarantees a distinctive aroma and enriches every preparation. Our Mission & Impact All of our coffee growers have been affected by Colombia’s armed conflict and by various forms of violence based on gender, age, economic status, or race. Through our mission, we support these communities by providing education, training, mentoring, shared value initiatives, circular economy practices, innovation, and other programs that improve wellbeing for families and territories. Over 80% of our beneficiaries are women, youth, Indigenous peoples, and other vulnerable populations. We are proud to hold several certifications that reflect both our social impact and our quality as coffee producers, including: Federación Nacional de Cafeteros, INVIMA, FDA, SCA, and PaisSana (working in peacebuilding territories)."
